    Draft 2050 Review

Traded picks 5.3 and 5.6 to Washington for pick 2.30

    1.7 SLB Jimmie Harvey Pre TC 29/73, post Ex2 39/83 (current 84/84)
Harvey has proven himself to be a top draw LB as he has started 47 of 48 regular season games in his first 3 seasons, missing one start in 2051. In his rookie season he made 88 solo tackles, added 27 assists, recorded 2 sacks, 1 hurry and blocked 3 passes. In coverage he defended 7 passes, but did allow 40 catches (PDPct 72.7). He forced 2 fumbles and recovered one which he returned for a TD. He forced another 2 fumbles in 2051as he made 112 solo tackles, 34 assists,, recorded a sack, 5 hurries and knockdown the opposing QB 5 times. He did allow 50 catches on the season but at the same time defended 7 passes and picked off 3 (71 return yards) bringing one back to the house. He added 8 ST tackles as well. His 3rd season saw 102 solo tackles, 30 assists, 2 sacks, 3 blocked passes, 3 hurries and 6 QB knockdowns. He forced 2 fumbles again while against the pass he defended 8 passes but allowed 52 catches (PDPct 73.6). In the playoff game he allowed 3 catches, made 3 solo tackles, recorded another sack, a hurry and a QB Knockdown.

    2.6 FS DeAndre Clinton Pre TC 25/44, post Ex2 31/52 (current 49/49)
Clinton started 10 of 16 games in his rookie season defending 3 passes and picking one of (13 return yards) while allowing 36 catches (PDPct 72.8). He made 49 solo tackles and added 11 assists. He was essentially replaced as a starter by the drafting of Abate, so only started 1 of 14 games in 2051 defending 1 pass while allowing 14 catches (PDPct 73.1) and making 19 solo tackles and adding 6 assists. With SS Collins struggles in 2052 he ended up starting 12 of 16 games making 41 solo tackles and 18 assists while in coverage he was much better defending 9 passes while allowing 22 catches (PDPct 80.2). He started the one playoff game where he allowed 1 catch and made 1 solo tackle

    2.30 QB Ben Dercher Pre TC 12/43, post Ex2 16/41 (current 33/45)
He started 1 of the 11 games he was active in his rookie season and it was a disaster as he threw 4 interceptions. At the end of the season he had completed 32 of 51 passes (62.7%) for 317 yards and 4 INTís, while rushing 10 times for 33 yards, he also lost a fumble. He was active for 2 games in 2051 completing 15 of 21 passes (71.4%) for 109 yards and 1 TD. He rushed once for 6 yards but did fumble once. In 2052 he started 7 of the 9 games he was active completing 132 out of 231 (57.1%) for 1579 yards, 10 TDís and 10 INTís for a 74.6 passer rating. He rushed 43 times for 296 yards (6.88 avg) and a TD. He did fumble 3 times but recovered one. He is a solid back-up which is probably what should be expected of a late 2nd round QB.

    4.7 LT Emmitt Washington Pre TC 18/45, post Ex2 24/61 (current 44/53)
Washington was active for 9 games but saw no playing time in his rookie season other than on ST where he was on the field for 49 plays. He started 12 of 16 games in 2051 recording 11 KRBs (37.9%) while allowing only 1 sack and recovering a fumble. In the 2052 preseason he had a serious ACL knee injury and remains injured so there remain question marks about whether he will recover to play the game again.

    6.5 FL Earl McWilliams Pre TC 21/46, post Ex2 18/39 (current 17/21)
He started 10 of 16 games in his rookie season but only caught 11 passes (52.4%) for 82 yards, he also rushed 7 times for 13 yards. He was released prior to the 2051 season where he was picked up by Arizona.

    7.7 RB Cesar Lester Pre TC 35/51, post Ex2 34/34 (current 46/46)
Lester started 4 of 15 games in 2050 rushing for 417 yards (4.44 avg) and catching 16 passes (88.9%0 for 148 yards, with 1 drop. He also added 2 ST tackles. He added 1 ST tackle in 2051 playing in all 16 games without a start. In fact he only rushed the ball 4 times for 28 yards at a 7 .0 avg all season. In 2052 he was back in favour starting 10 of 16 games rushing for 791 yards (5.01 avg) and 3 TDís. He caught 10 passes (83.3%0 for 132 yards with 2 drops. He did also recover 1 fumble. In the playoff game he was the starter running for 74 yards (4.93 avg) and a TD. He has been a very solid and productive 7th round selection.
